Mick Denner is the Founder and Managing Partner of MODE Growth Partners. An experienced military and commercial leader, Mick brings 12 years of leadership, commercial excellence, and operations experience to MODE. He now aims to acquire, operate, and grow one high quality business.
Prior to founding MODE Growth Partners, Mick worked in various marketing and sales leadership positions at Danaher Corporation in their diagnostics and industrial companies. He gained expert certifications in several Danaher Business System lean and growth tools. While at Radiometer, he managed a national sales team responsible for $12M in annual sales during the COVID-19 pandemic. While at Videojet, he led dozens of continuous improvement workshops across the organization, including an operations event that improved throughput by 114%.
Before Danaher, Mick served six years as a United States Marine Corps Officer. During his first deployment to Afghanistan, he was responsible for the training and combat effectiveness of a 150-man Afghan Engineer company. During his second tour, he led 29 Marines and 2 bomb-detection dogs in clearing more than 1900km of IED-laden routes throughout Helmand Province. He was hand-selected to serve as a Tactics Instructor at the Marine Corps’ premiere training organization, where he served on a team tasked with designing and implementing an urban warfare training package that is still utilized by thousands of Marines each year.
In his personal time, Mick enjoys woodworking, staying fit, and family trips to the beach. Mick and his wife, Kelly, are proud parents to Charlotte (5 years), Jack (2 year), and their golden retriever Duncan.
Mick holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Greenville College and an MBA from the University of Virginia - Darden School of Business.
